The U16s fixture versus Newark Town was played yesterday in memory of Tom Mann which celebrates youth football and the transition to adult football.
Referee David Coote recently promoted to the Premier League Referees Panel got the game underway and within 10 minutes the Imps were ahead, Armond poking home from close range following up after the home keeper saved the initial shot. As the quarter hour approached the lead was doubled Sears nodding in at the back post from a Harrison corner and this was the score at the half time break.
Just after the kick off Bingham rounded the keeper to put the Imps three-up, Allison increased the lead heading in at the near post from a corner. Bingham got his second of the game from the edge of the area and as full time beckoned Thorpe added to the Imps tally to complete the scoring.
Thank you to all at Newark Town for your hospitality again this year and we wish you a successful season ahead.
